I just completed the Tough Mudder two weekends ago with a good friend of mine and wanted to share some of the ‘ah-ha’ moments I had after the event. It takes dedicated time and effort to carry out the things we want in our lives. Establishing a game plan and taking the time to deliberately practice until we can effectively meet our goals we set for ourselves. One of the ways we can continue to challenge ourselves to be our best is to tap in to the genius of our colleagues, mentors, people in the Deaf community, local workshops, and trusted friends. The goal is to build a professional community in which we are all coming together, providing support, and taking on new challenges. This is a great way keep us moving in a positive direction within the field of interpreting.
Get out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and be the best YOU that you can be!
