Research is the bedrock that fosters a deeper understanding of the world around us by answering and validating questions. Having this we are able to discover new processes and approaches in the interpreting field. We are also able to explore how language impacts cultural norms and understandings. I urge you to explore the sites below and learn as much as you can about the world that you live in. The more you know and we understand as a whole, the more we can do. Especially now that we are able to use social media to share our ideas/thoughts. Knowledge is power. With that said we must also put time in to making sure that we are applying and practicing all we learn, this is where the mentorship piece comes in. Applying deliberate practice with others gives us a unique opportunity to stretch ourselves beyond what we once thought possible by practicing introspection and critical thinking on interpreting work.
